The rules are straightforward enough. If everyone follows these rules, there would be no problems. Unfortunately there are always players out there who get their thrills ruining other people’s fun. Your duty as an Organized Chaos admin is to keep the servers clean of such “unwanted” people. Within this document you will learn everything you will need to know to be a successful admin within the Organized Chaos community.
No Cheating
Organized Chaos has a very effective way of dealing with cheaters, but alas there will always be a problem within the servers with cheaters. As a Organized Chaos admin, you are required to record and submit demo’s of every cheater you ban, or they will be free to join the server again another day. NEVER ban without a demo. If you are not 100% sure a player is cheating, send in the demo but DO NOT ban the player. Let a senior admin decide for sure.
No Discrimination of any kind
There is a zero tolerance policy against any form of discrimination in all Organized Chaos servers. Sadly, racism is one of the big issues in today’s world. There are different levels of racism, in my opinion, an admin should act based on how severe the offence was. But most lead to a permanent ban. Sexism is also an issue. Follow the same basic guidelines as for racism. Female players are more than welcome in Organized Chaos servers and should not be harassed in them. Male players are no better than female players in any way.
Discrimination in Organized Chaos servers can be punished with a global ban. Send a demo of the offender as you normally would a hacker, with notes specifying in the ban section who the offender is and a brief description of what happened during the demo.
Pay attention to the names being used within a server. If there are any questionable names being used, kindly ask the player to change it. Let them know that racism within an Organized Chaos server is against server rules and our policy. If the player does not co-operate, you may use your power to fix the situation.
No Inappropriate Sprays
The wonderful developers at Valve Software decided it would be a good idea to include an upload button for custom spray tags. This invites stupidity as some idiots decide that a child porn spray would be ok...IT IS NOT. This type of spray is a global ban from all servers. There is a feature within the admin menu called “Spray Tag Tracker”. Move to the spray and center it on your screen. Hit the spray tracker to find out who used it. Please note though, sometimes players spray over each other, make sure you tracked the right spray and not the one under it. If need be you can move to spectator and watch the player, waiting for him to use the spray. When you locate the right player ban them..even if it is a temporary ban. Register the ban in the ban section of the forums.
No Spamming of any kind
Spamming can be defined as performing the same action repeatedly several times within a short time span. Spamming in Counter-Strike is just a downright annoyance. Spamming can be done with Voice Commands or Microphone. All of our servers have a filter that block Text spamming. Voice-Command spamming is generally when a player uses the voice commands more than could possibly be needed. Voice commands are fine, and serve as a great form of quick communication, but a player will never need to say “Go! Go! Go!” seventy-three times in a row. Possibly the most annoying of all spamming is Microphone spamming and is the most common used. This is commonly done with “sound effects”, music, random noise, or a player just talking to himself/herself for the whole round. All spammers are to get the same treatment, warnings, mutes, kicks and bans. Use these tools in that order. Sometimes when a player is Microphone spamming you cannot get a voice message across to tell them to stop. Obviously a mute will get their attention and allow you to request them to stop spamming. If they fail to abide by your warning a quick kick out of the server should occur. In some instances the offender will rejoin and continue to spam. If this occurs ban them. After the ban make sure that you post in the ban section of the forums with the players information and type of occurrence.
No Advertising
This is a video game, not television. Advertisements do not belong. If you see a player with a URL as a name, or with a bind saying go to whichever website, ask them kindly not to advertise in Organized Chaos servers. Use common sense when dealing with players advertising within a server. Advertising for Organized Chaos on the other hand is not only allowed, it’s encouraged!
No Map “Glitch” Exploiting
Most maps have a “glitch” somewhere in them. One common example would be cs_assualt. There is an area near the “Control Room”, which can be reached, resulting in an advantage over any oncoming players. The ceiling of that particular room is textured with what is called a “nodraw” texture. “nodraw” textures are in all maps; these are the walls that can be seen through. They are there to lower the texture areas and result in much better frame rate than would be possible without them. A “glitch” can be classified as any part of a map in which players can be seen through a “nodraw”, or any area that requires the use of more than 2 people to reach. This includes the top of the building in cs_assualt, for example, where you can see through the room on top of the building as well as part of the vent. Climbing on top of boxes in maps is however not considered a “glitch”, as long as it can be reached with one or two people. Glitchers should be warned via admin chat/voice, slapped or slayed if they do not cooperate.
Server Specific Rules
Some servers have their own set of rules. All servers follow the rules outlined in this document, but always keep an eye on the green adverts in servers, as they will inform you of any server specific rules that may be in place.
Proper Admin Protocol
Admin Chat
As an administrator of an Organized Chaos server you will represent the entire community with your actions and decisions within the servers. Admin say for example (The light green text visible to all players) is not to be overused. This command is supposed to get the attention of every player in the server with specific instruction or warnings. If it is used to say “nice shot” or “WTF” or something of that nature, it loses its eye catching power overtime. Using this command to “chat” with the living while you are dead is also frowned upon.
Other AdminsIf you have a problem with another admin, leave it outside. There have been issues in the past with disputes between admins within a server, using admin chat to argue in front of the whole server. This makes us as admins look bad, and also distracts from the game and responsibilities you hold as an Organized Chaos admin. Even if you hate another admin with a passion, leave it outside the server. Argue all you want in steam friends, email or even the admin private section of the forums...but never in public.
Never use your power against another admin within a server. Record a demo and upload it. If you can try and find a senior admin to join the server and deal with the admin personally. Never be afraid to report a fellow admin, even if it is a friend of yours. If you are seen not taking action in a server with an abusive admin, you both may have your admin revoked from that server.
The Warn Tree
Even for extreme offenders of the above rules (excluding cheating/clan-server disrespect/child porn) every player deserves a warning. This will give the player a chance to avoid being kicked, and also cover you against any attempts to report you as an abuser. Try and remain as calm as possible when dealing with an offender. Remember your actions reflect on Organized Chaos as a whole, so please try and stay mature.
The Warning Tree we try to use for most cases is as follows; Voice warning, text warning, Admin text warning, slap, slay, kick, Temp Ban. It is always best to take screenshots whenever warning a player, as a form of proof that you did in fact warn before slaying, or kicking. Keep in mind screenshots can be fabricated so they will not serve as definite proof in an admin abuse complaint, they do however serve as a good reference for Server Logs to be searched, which ARE definite proof. This system can be cut down for more severe offenders, or skipped altogether for racist/discriminatory players.
Respect
Respect has always been number one in our book. If you show everyone respect, you will be respected in return. Show all players an equal amount of respect; even if it is a player running around with an aimbot, there is no reason not to show some respect. The absolute best thing to do in that situation is record the demo, and then let the player know he can protest his ban at www.ocgungame.com. Not only will this show strong character and professionalism to the other players in the server, but will also most likely annoy the crap out of the Cheater. They generally want to make people mad, so show them how calm you are. It’s a win win situation. At no point in time is it ok to accuse someone of hacking/cheating. There are steps in place to know if the player is hacking by recording a demo and submitting it.
Most players do have some skill when it comes to this game...remember that it is a GAME! Accusing someone of constantly hacking/cheating will, in most cases, make the player leave the server never to return. If you do this you may soon follow.
It is also important to respect your fellow clan mates and clan leaders. Talking behind someone’s back or arguing in the servers will not be tolerated and dealt with accordingly. Yes you donate for admin. But just because you donated for it doesn’t mean you get it automatically..breaking of server rules or being abusive and disrespectful can cause your admin capabilities to be removed. This is not taken lightly and is discussed and decided upon between the clan owner, clan leader and senior admins.
Any player disrespecting our clan or its servers is to be banned immediately. If we fail to do this we are only encouraging others to “join in”. Our clan leaders work very hard on our servers and spend many hours improving it and keeping it up to date and do not deserve that disrespect.
Organized Chaos Hierarchy

The above shows the specific levels that we have within our clan. As an example if there is a problem within the server a “level 5” should wait and allow the “level 4,3,2,1” to deal with the problem if they are present in the server. To see if the other levels are actively available we have Ventrilo/steam chat. If you receive no response from a higher level-deal with the issue accordingly.
At no point in time are you to argue in the server with any level that is the same or higher than you. We have forums and private messaging to deal with any issue that may arise. It may be worth while to ensure another level is present to “mediate”. Example; a level 4 has an issue with a level 3. The level 4 should have level 2 present. At no point in time will it be necessary for level 1 to mediate unless you have an issue with level 2. Again, common sense should be used.
We are an open clan that welcomes everyone to share their opinion and thoughts, we have a great forums section for discussing issues that you may have. All levels (except level 1) have been voted for and picked by other levels. Don’t feel that you may have reached the highest level you think you might have reached. To be taken seriously for another level there are a number of factors used in deciding if you receive another level within the clan. Forums activity and topic contributions, server activity, server participation, respect, honesty and donations.
Forum Activity
Visiting the forums regularly is mandatory for all administrators. This is so any issues that may present themselves such as “abuse” complaints, bans, rule changes and updates. If you do not visit the forums regularly there is no way for you to know what is new.
Requests
Players will make requests when they play in the server. Some maps are more popular than others. Whenever a player/players make this request ALWAYS start a vote first. Some may request to play music in the server...this is obviously a NO...if you are not certain about this rule please re-read the Spamming section of this document. Some maps also get requests for low gravity..if you do this after a vote ensure to turn it back to normal BEFORE you leave the server or at map change.
Support your Community
Feel free to advertise ocgungame.com within the servers! There is no harm in having a bind to say “Register at www.ocgungame.com” every 10 minutes. If a player asks a question about Organized Chaos or the server in general try and help them out however you can. Ask them to join Organized Chaous forums. Players always have questions like “How can I get admin?”. This is no secret, tell them. We welcome new admins in our servers.
Everyone makes Mistakes
At some point, your going to kick the wrong guy, mute the wrong person or ban yourself. Don’t worry about it we all make mistakes. If you happen to ban a player accidentally let us know in the forums. With any luck the player will go to the website asking why he/she was banned and it can all be cleared up in there. This is one of the many reasons most admins can only temporarily ban players. Even if the player doesn’t go to the forums, he/she will still be able to play later as it is not a permanent ban.
Your being WATCHED!
Always keep in mind that while you are an administrator for one of our servers, you may be monitored in the server periodically. Don’t take it personally; monitoring your admin decisions and behaviour will help us to determine your performance as an admin. This also helps us to determine any requests to move up in the clan.
ENJOYMENT
Sometimes people forget that this is a video game. Don’t forget to have some fun while you do your admin duties. Even if there is a chance you are being watched, don’t be a drone! We like our admins to have a reputation as a good, fun admin not a strict quiet one. Play the game, chat with people, make some friends. Just don’t forget your responsibilities! If you are liked and respected as an admin you are likely to hold your position a lot longer and it will be a much more pleasant experience for you.

3. If you would like to rent a server. Register on our forums and then go to the Renting server section and make a post about what you want.
4. There is a new GiveAway item every single month. Each $10 donation to help keep these servers alive gets you a chance to win.
5. Crysis2 server will be coming soon!!
Here are some of our changes and updates
1. Zombie servers are running the newest zombiemod out instead the of the trashy zombie reloaded.
2. We have added a total of 370 new GG maps on the main GG server. Which will bring the total number of maps into rotation to 650 maps.
3. We have also added 370 new GG maps to the GG#2 server. Which will bring the total number of maps into rotation to 440 maps.
4. We will be making a new server here shortly. It will be a hide and seek server. I just got to find the time to do it!
5. Anyone can join our clan now. There is no age requirement or Kill requirement like there was in the past. All you have to do is make a small donation each month as stated on the Join <OC> tab at the top of our website.
6. When donating to be a member of this clan. All members now have the ability to use the admins skins in the server they play in with no extra donations expected.
7. Our forums have a totally new look thanks to Woody. If you need anything in the forums. Please make a post and Woody will help you with whatever it may be.
8. Don't forget anyone can donate for a personal skin on any of our servers for a small donation each month. This skin will be yours to use and nobody else will be able to use or donate for that skin until you do not donate for it anymore. Just click on the skins tab at the top of the website and pick one to your liking.
9. We are now a sponsor for the GG5.1 modders.
10. We have made it to where once you donate. You do not have to worry about it again because it is now a recurring donation at the top of the website and the forums. If you do not want to make a recurring donation. Just scroll down to the bottom of the website and you will see another donation button. Just click on it and donate and it will not be a recurring donation.
11. We have also purchased the www.ocgungame.com domain. Now you can come to our website by either web address. www.ocgungame.net or www.ocgungame.com. They will both take you to the same place.

All servers are back up and running!! Our Zombie server is still running ZR but we've customized it just like the old ZM. Zombie server rank is down to 125th thanks to all the admins in there maintaning that server!

You will not have the right to claim a refund or use legal action against us.

For people interested in joining OC - the minimum age to join and to have admin is now 18 on all servers. This was a necessary change that we had to make because of our (now former) Members/Admins. We're sorry to everyone under that age (you're still welcome to donate for personal skins/admins skins and play on our servers!). And who knows! You may receive 'gifts' in-game if you're constantly in the server and the admins find favor in you.
On another note, Jesus|Freak finished the new theme for the forums! He's done an excellent job! Also, be sure to check out all the new smileys! There's all kinds of different ones to use so enjoy!
On a bigger note, we've added another server! This isn't just any old zombie server, though... anything goes in this server (yes, anything!). It is not VAC secured so feel free to break out your best HAX! Name-calling, mic spamming, 'cade breaking, whatever - WE DON'T CARE! HAVE FUN!
